Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

Servings: 4-6

Pairs With Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé


  • 2 (15-ounce) cans of chickpeas (also known as garbanzo beans), thoroughly drained and rinsed (about 3 cups)

  • 2 tbsps olive oil

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 1/2 tsp sea salt


  1. Heat oven to 400°F and arrange a rack in the middle.
  2. Place the chickpeas in a large bowl and toss with the remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the chickpeas in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until crisp, about 30-40 minutes.
  4. Cool and serve.

OPTION: Season to taste – can be more or less spicy.
